1.) You have a file which has
a checksum in its filename (like
"MyFile [34FAC3D2].txt") and you want to check if it's
OK:
Just open the file(s) in any possible way in RapidCRC; it will show
you, if the file(s) is/are OK.
You can open a file in RapidCRC in various ways:

- If you installed the RapidCRC Rightclick-SendTo Integration (not default), you can rightclick on any file and choose 'Send To -> RapidCRC'.
2.) You have a .sfv/.md5 file
and you want to check your files with it:
Just open the .sfv/.md5 file in any possible way in RapidCRC; it
will show you, if the files are OK.
If you want to know, how to open a file in RapidCRC, please have a
look at entry number 1 above.
Additionally: If you chose 'Associate
with .sfv files' and 'Associate with .md5 files' while installing
RapidCRC (default), you can also double click on a .sfv/.md5 file
to open it.
3.) You have some files and
you want to put their CRC checksum into their
filename:
Just open the files in any possible way in RapidCRC; it will
calculate the CRC values of these files.
After that click on the 'Put Calculated CRC into
Filename' button and RapidCRC will put the CRC into all
filenames which lack a checksum (if the file has a checksum in its
filename nothing will happen).
"MyFile.txt" -> "MyFile [34FAC3D2].txt"
If you want to know, how to open a file in RapidCRC, please have a
look at entry number 1 above.
4.) You have some files and
you want to create a .sfv/.md5 file for them:
Just open the files in any possible way in RapidCRC; it will
calculate the CRC values of these files.
After that click on the 'Create SFV file'
or 'Create MD5 file' button and RapidCRC
will create a .sfv/.md5 file for your files.
If you want to know, how to open a file in RapidCRC, please have a
look at entry number 1 above.
5.) You want to check whole
directories:
You can open directories in RapidCRC exactly the way you open
files; please have a look at entry number 1 above. There is just
one exception: the windows open-files dialog is not able to select
directories and because the 'Open Files' button in RapidCRC uses
this dialog, you can't open directories via 'Open Files'
button.
